Bidding Farewell with Heartfelt Appreciation: Reflecting on a Meaningful Collaboration

The 19th of June 2025 was a day filled with mixed emotions for the ESAI EN ROI team. The visitors (Empower plus / NGO) wrapped up their impactful journey in Thessaloniki, Greece, following the successful completion of the Silver Voices: Combating Fake News seminar just the day before. The atmosphere on this last day was thick with gratitude and connection, though there were no formal activities scheduled.

As the Empower Plus team left Romania, they reflected on five transformative days. These days were packed with engaging discussions, valuable learning experiences, and enduring friendships among participants.

Celebrating Contributions

The success of this initiative relied on the incredible efforts of many individuals and organizations. The team at Esai en Roi wishes to express deep gratitude to the Empower Plus Association's staff for their steadfast support in both facilitation and mentorship. Their hard work ensured every participant gained a better understanding of the challenges posed by fake news in today’s digital world.

A special shout-out goes to Mr. Mitsios Nikolaos, the distinguished trainer who expertly navigated participants through complex topics with enthusiasm and skill. The interns, Maele and Maeline from France, also made a significant impact, infusing the educational environment with their energy and commitment. Supervisoed and guided by Mrs. Eleni Kavazidou, they assisted with logistics, led small-group activities, and built rapport with participants, helping to create an unforgettable seminar experience.

Building Bridges for the Future

Although the 19th of June lacked structured activities, it served as an essential reminder of the power of community and collaboration. Empower Plus and Esai en Roi have established a strong foundation for future partnerships, grounded in shared values of inclusion, digital empowerment, and European solidarity. This seminar not only addressed this pressing issue but also helped to create a network of advocates committed to fighting against fake news through constructive debate and community involvement.
