Some people arrive without noise, yet they change the feeling of a place almost at once. This autumn and early winter, from September to December 2026, we feel lucky to welcome two new volunteers whose presence already carries that quiet kind of strength.

Nicolai and Fantine come to us from Sweden with smooth, positive energy and a beautiful sense of calm. They do not need many words to show care. They show it through attention, patience, and steady hands.

Nicolai brings power through silence

Nicolai works with our photos and videos, helping us honor our history while giving shape to our future. This is not only technical work. It is a way of listening.

A photograph can hold a moment that words might miss. A short video can keep the memory of a project alive long after the day has ended. Through this visual work, Nicolai helps protect the small details that make our community story real.

His contribution is silent power. It sits behind the camera, in careful choices, in respect for people, places, and time. Every image becomes a footprint. Every video becomes a quiet voice.

This matters because our work is built from many seasons, many hands, and many acts of care. When Nicolai records these moments, he helps us remember where we have been and imagine where we can go next.

Fantine gives strength to the garden

Fantine brings another kind of beauty, the practical kind. Her work in the garden supports the actions at Karatasou Park in a direct and essential way.

Gardening asks for patience, but it also asks for courage. Soil under the nails, tools in hand, bending, carrying, clearing, planting, returning again the next day. This is not decorative work. It is the daily care that allows a park to breathe.

Fantine’s energy feels clear and grounded. She sees what needs to be done and steps toward it. In that simple movement, she gives support to everyone around her.

Her work reminds us that care is often physical. It lives in watering, pruning, cleaning, preparing, and protecting green spaces for the people who share them. Her special care for pet animals, especially cats, is another highlight of her special presence within the park animal life...!

Together, they complete each other

Nicolai and Fantine bring different gifts, but together they create a powerful double presence.

One helps us see.

One helps us grow.

One keeps the visual memory alive.

One supports the living ground beneath our feet.

Both give their time with a rare quietness. Their silence is not empty. It is full of focus, kindness, and respect. It is the happy silence of people who understand that presence can speak louder than many words.

We are grateful for the way they join the rhythm of our work. They do not arrive as visitors passing through. They arrive as part of the season, part of the park, part of the story we are building together.

Thank you, dear Swedish youth

Nicolai and Fantine, thank you for being here with us from autumn into the beginning of winter. Thank you for your soft energy, your useful hands, your patient eyes, and your quiet joy.

You help us honor what came before. You help us care for what is growing now. You help us imagine what may come next.

We feel lucky to share this season with you. You are, truly, our perfect ones for this moment: silent, positive, practical, creative, and full of grace.

With love and gratitude, welcome to Karatasou Park.
