Art as a Language of Expression and Collaboration — Scholarship Awarded to Anna Avdimioti for the Artistic Opening of the Inclusive Culture Festival in Chania
With great joy, we announce the awarding of a scholarship by the Organizing Committee of

the Artistic Education Actions MOUSON KAINOPRAGIA 2026 to Anna Avdimioti for her participation in the artistic opening ceremony of the 14th Inclusive Culture Festival in Rhodes.
Anna, born and raised in Thessaloniki, has developed a meaningful connection with the arts from a very young age, especially through dance. Her journey began at the age of five, and since 2014 she has continued her artistic education at the Chalikia Dance School, studying classical ballet (Vaganova method) and contemporary dance (Limon technique).
Throughout her artistic path, special emphasis has been placed on clean and proper technique, musicality, expression, synchronization, and the cultivation of teamwork and collaboration within dance groups. Her engagement with contemporary dance has also allowed her to explore improvisation as a means of personal artistic expression.
With the support and organization of her dance school, she has participated in important cultural and social events, including World Dance Day celebrations, Thessdromena events, the charitable S.I.S.C.H.E. Gala, and performances organized by the dance school itself.
Her relationship with the arts extends beyond dance. Anna has also studied classical music, including music theory and violin at the Thermaikos Conservatory of Thessaloniki between 2011 and 2018. During that time, she actively participated in the conservatory choir and in organized concerts and musical performances.
Today, she is a student at the International Hellenic University (IHU), in the Department of Food Science and Technology, combining scientific knowledge with artistic creativity in a multidimensional journey of personal growth.
For Anna, art — and especially dance — represents a unique way of expressing emotions and the inner self, while also teaching her important values such as discipline, consistency, cooperation, and respect for others as well as for herself.
Her participation in the artistic opening of the Inclusive Culture Festival in Chania is expected to contribute sensitivity, artistic quality, and creative energy to a special celebration of culture and inclusion.
We wholeheartedly wish her every success and a beautiful experience filled with inspiration, creativity, and meaningful artistic encounters.
