Art Education Activities“MOUSON KAINOPRAGIA” – CHANIA 2026📍 Chania Spiritual Center📅 April 25 & 26, 2026🎟️ Free admission
Target group: young creators or workshop participants
Awarding of two (out of four) scholarships for participation in festivals and European activities (July 16 / August 4, 2026 – Thessaloniki & Halkidiki || September 2026 – Rhodes or Thessaloniki, Inclusive Culture Festival, September 26–27, 2026), covering accommodation, meals, and transportation, enhancing youth creative mobility (two scholarships have already been awarded to participants from activities held in Thessaloniki in March 2026)
Certificates of participation (for workshops and young artists’ evenings), as well as digital badges
The Regional Unit of Chania / Region of Crete, Esai en Roi, the Senselab of the Technical University of Crete, Radamanthys Publications, the Club for the Promotion of Sign Language, and the Association of Friends of Astronomy of Crete invite you to participate in the two-day cultural and educational event “MOUSON KAINOPRAGIA”, an open platform for creation, expression, and inclusion, addressed to all levels of education (Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, and High Schools) of Crete.
The initiative aims to bring together students, educators, and the wider community through art, collaboration, and active participation, highlighting the importance of creativity as a means of learning, empowerment, and social cohesion.
🔹 Participation Opportunities for Schools
School units can participate in order to:
Receive training and information on topics of art, inclusion, and creative education
Benefit from consulting and guidance by experts in personal development and creative pathways
Engage in experiential participation in artistic workshops
Present artistic talents on the event stage
Strengthen their CVs through participation in a European-standard cultural activity
Meet significant personalities from the fields of art and science, with meaningful social impact
🔹 Program of Activities
🕙 Morning Zone (11:00 – 13:00)Experiential workshops open to schools and students:
Creative writing
Visual arts workshops (including for students with disabilities)
Inclusive movement (HandieDance)
Open dialogue space with youth guidance and counseling experts
🕡 Afternoon Zone (18:30 – 20:00)
Thematic tributes and presentations
Talks on the connection between art, education, and society
Honorary awards for distinguished personalities in art and science
🕗 Evening Zone (20:00 – 21:30)
Open stage for young creators
Presentations by students and young artists (theatre, music, dance, performance, visual arts)
